Fayose planning to destroy PDP before leaving to another party – Sen Kashamu

Senator representing Ogun East, Buruji Kashamu, has described the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose as an “agent of destabilisation”, who is out to destroy the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, before defecting from the party.
Addressing newsmen on Sunday, Kashamu said he once alerted leaders of the party of Fayose’s inordinate ambition to destroy the party.
Kashamu also likened the party to a barracks “where soldiers come and go, and the barracks remains.”
According to the lawmaker, “I had always known that Fayose has an agenda and alerted our leaders and elders to his agenda of either having his way or destroying the PDP before he leaves for God knows where.
“Now that he is letting the cat out of the bag, I can only say that Fayose has exposed himself.
“He has shown that he is the real agent of destabilisation. He is one of those who want to kill the PDP before he defects. However, it should be clearly pointed out that PDP was not founded because of Fayose or any of us. Whether anyone leaves or not, the party will remain. It will not die.
“The truth of the matter is that the leadership crisis in the PDP was designed and orchestrated because of the inordinate ambition of some people, especially those who are exiting office next year.”

Nigeria will soon be a history if not restructured – Obong Victor Attah

A Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Victor Attah, has stated that unless Nigeria is restructured, the country will break up.
The former governor joins other prominent citizens, groups who are calling for a change in governing structure.
Recall that the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, John Nnia Nwodo, had maintained that the issue of restructuring of the country was more important than the agitation for Igbo Presidency.
A former Vice-president of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is also among Nigerians saying that the country is in dare need of total restructuring and reform to correct its porous system.
However, the former governor has noted that fiscal federalism was the agreement of Nigeria staying together, adding that if overlooked, the country will break.
“People are now talking about accepting the need for fiscal federalism and marrying it with the idea of restructuring and so on.
“So, thank God we have moved from one point and, we will soon get to another and I agree with those people who say that, unless we go back to fiscal federalism, Nigeria will break.
“You know there is a formula but the important thing is to create the situation that we always had before.
“That was the basis of the agreement for staying together and forming Nigeria. So, if we destroy the basis of our agreement, then the consequence of what we agreed should also disappear.
“That is Nigeria and, unfortunately, I am speaking like this because I believe passionately in the need and I believe that eventually all the government that should make it happens will make it happen; that there would be fiscal federalism. We should return to true federal democratic principle.”

Fayose can never win election in Ekiti state in his life again, see why

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Ekiti State, Mr Olufemi Aduloju, has said that Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, is still living in the past when the federal might assisted him to win two governorship elections.
Aduloju, who reminded the governor that his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been dislodged from the federal level, said his boast that he will win the 2018 governorship election in the state was an empty one, especially with his dwindling popularity each passing day.
The APC chieftain who spoke in Ekiti while reaction to Fayose’s boast that his PDP would win hands down in the 16 council areas of the state, said “it is on record that the governor has never won a single free and fair election.

“The only election that Fayose participated in as a candidate of the opposition party in 2011 ended in disaster for him as he, as Labour Party candidate in the National Assembly election, could not win even his constituency.“Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo supported Fayose to defeat the then Governor Niyi Adebayo in 2003 just as former President, Goodluck Jonathan deployed funds and security agents to ease former Governor, Kayode Fayemi out of office to favour Fayose in 2014.
“Governor Fayose must wake up and stop dreaming of winning 2018 Ekiti State Governorship Election for his dead party in the state. The only base of Fayose’s political structure, which is the federal might with his party in power, has collapsed. But the governor is still living in the past glory of winning election through the federal might. Perhaps he has forgotten that PDP lost the centre years back.

“Even the last PDP primaries that produced him for the governorship election was fraudulent and rigged, it was Ayo Fayose vs Ayo Fayose, there was no other aspirants at the venue, security personnel were used to chase them away from the venue because Fayose could not contest an election and win without intimidation and harassment.“PDP is no longer at the helms of affair in Nigeria, the power that the former Presidents gave you to control police, civil defence corps, other security outfits and INEC has expired and no longer available. Fayose cannot win any election in Ekiti State without the federal might.
“In 2003, Obasanjo and Chief Olabode George then the southwest PDP chairman helped Fayose. He was surprised when he was declared the winner of that election, he prostrated about 22 times, thanking the former President. That was why he messed up the government and he was thrown out.
“On the eve of the 2014 governorship election, over 90 per cent of APC leaders were arrested and detained till after the doctored and flawed result was announced. Fayose’s so-called popularity cannot and will never award him victory at any election in Ekiti State in a free and fair contest. If he is so sure of himself, let him wait till 2018 when the chicken will come home to roost,” Aduloju stated.
