A thirty-four- year old man beheaded as Delta communities clash over land

Tension has continued to rise in Delta State as some Ogbe-Ijoh youths have allegedly shot dead and beheaded a thirty-four-year old Aladja indigene, Oghuvwu Kingsley. They are also alleged to have abducted a fourteen year old unidentified Igbo girl along the College Road in Aladja community, SPLENSIZY is reporting.
Dozens of women and children were equally injured as the invading SPLENSIZY  youths burnt down several buildings and cars in the community.
The incident  gathered allegedly happened in the presence of mobile police men on guard at the boundary between the two communities.
While the Ogbe-Ijoh people allegedly attacked Aladja community from one hand, armed Isaba youths from the other end were engaged in an exchange of gun fire with the policemen, SPLENSIZY  learnt.

Comedian Basketmouth loses mum

Comedian Basketmouth's mum passed away last night October 3rd after a brief illness. The comedian shared the sad news on his IG page
"Last night my angel left me, my first love stopped breathing and it's the deepest pain I've ever felt. I love you for every sacrifice you made to make me the man I am today, I've loved you through the tough times. I've loved you through happier days and all I can say at this point is that I will love you forever. I will miss you mummy". - May her soul rest in peace Amen.

Tragedy Struck!!! As One Dies After Forte Oil Tanker Falls On Hyundai Car In Ikorodu

The Lagos State Emergency Agency,LASEMA has confirmed that a tanker laden with PMS in the early hours of today fell on a car at Ikorodu.
The agency said it got a distress call via Lagos State emergency number, 767/112 regarding the incident. According to LASEMA, the tanker belonging to Forte Oil while trying to make a turn at a round about fell on a Hyundai Saloon Car with registration number KJA 421 AH.
The agency said prompt arrival of the Lagos State Fire Service, LASTMA, Civil Defense, FRSC and Nigeria Police however prevented the incident from becoming a disaster as they all arrived early. More photos…

Very Graphic Photos of Students Massacred At Federal Polytechnic, Mubi

Since news of the October 1 overnight attack on Federal Polytechnic, Mubi in Adamawa State, in Northern Nigeria broke out, the same questions ring out: Who are the men who perpetrated the act? For which reason? What will the government do to secure the lives of Nigerians? And, how soon will these victims and thousands of their family members who have been thrown into endless trauma get justice? Many citizens say they get more questions than answers.
This latest killing coincided with the marking of the 52nd year of Nigeria’s Independence.
As at the time of filing in this report, several students are fleeing Mubi while many are stranded. Report say the school has been shut indefinitely as the Adamawa State government has also imposed a 24-hour curfew.
Adamawa State Police Command spokesman, Ibrahim Mohammed, DSP, confirmed that 25 dead bodies have  so far been deposited at the General hospital, Mubi. He also stated that the figure is likely to rise as security agents continue to mop up the incident area.
A lecturer who spoke with News Bytes on the grounds of anonymity confirm that many lecturers plan on resigning immediately to relocate to other parts of the country considered safer to live in, in the hope of getting another job or securing another lecturing appointment.

Sound Of Music Actress, Charmian Carr Has Died

Charmian Carr, the actress who played the eldest of the Von Trapp daughters in the phenomenal ‘Sound of Music‘ movie has died. She died at the age of 73 as a result of complications from a rare case of dementia.
She wrote two books on her experience of playing Liesl Von Trapp;  Forever Liesl andLetters to Liesl. ‘Sound of Music’ was at one time the highest grossing movie of all time.
After quitting acting, Charmian ran an interior decorating firm.
