Hundreds of youths in Daura Local Government Area in Katsina state on Saturday, organised rally in solidarity with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Daura is the hometown of the President.
The youths, under the auspices of ‘Buhari Youth Congress for Change’, also held marathon prayers for the nation’s leader.
Their scribe, Alhaji Musa Badamasi, told newsmen in Daura that the rally was to show support for Buhari.
He described insinuations regarding the health of Buahri “as nothing but calculated attempts to tarnish the image of his administration”.
Badamasi disclosed that the rally was one of more to come in subsequent weeks.
Alhaji Sani Altine, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Daura local government, commended the youths for organising the rally and prayed for the safe return of the President.
Alhaji Musa Abdullahi, Daura Zonal Vice-Chairman of APC, said the party would continue to support the President.
He said Buhari was in good health, adding that ‘’we were in contact with him through telephone conversation a few days ago”.
