Four suspected for the killing of an Officer
















The Ondo State police command has paraded four suspected armed robbers who were responsible for the alleged murder of a police officer in Okitipupa last year.
Five of them were arrested for the alleged operation but one of them was said to have died before the gang was paraded.
Police Commissioner in the state, CP Hilda Ibifuro Harrison said upon complains from members of the public in Okitipupa, the DPO and his men mounted surveillance and arrested the suspects.
According to the Commissioner, the suspects included Enetufo Ajinde, now deceased, Ogunyemi Sola, popularly known as Old soldier, Adegbohun Dayo, Daisi Enetufo and Anifowose Alaba.
The police command said the suspects had, however, confessed to belonging to a gang of armed robbers terrorizing Okitipupa and also responsible for the killing of a police man attached to Okitipupa Division. They took away his rifle.

According to the Commissioner, “Prevention and detection of crime is a statutory duty of the police, and recently there has been a case of the murder of a police in Okitipupa, there has also been three cases of armed robbery reported.
Speaking with reporters at the police headquarters, Igbatoro Road, Akure, the Commissioner said the command would not relent in detecting and preventing crime in the state.
“Money and other goods have been stolen from people, and in the course of Police duty, all these people you see behind were arrested, arms and ammunition were recovered.”
Also, 11 suspected criminals were paraded by the command for different offences.
