One person feared dead, others seriously injured as Delta community comes under attack





Police Task Force leader killed by gunmen in Benue
‎Some gunmen have attacked Aladja Community in Udu Local Government Area ‎of Delta State, killing a resident identified as Amama Ulo, and injuring several others.
It was gathered that Ogbe-Ijoh and Isaba militants stormed Aladja Community with various weapons at about 2 pm.
“As we speak, the shooting is still ongoing causing serious tension in the area.
“Women and children are really helpless as they are scampering for safety”, a source hinted.
A leader of Aladja Commumity, Comrade Ighotegwolor Bezi hinted that the Ogbe-Ijoh and Isaba militants came to attack them (Aladja Community) while they obeyed the Delta State Government’s peace accord.
Bezi called on the relevant security agencies to come to the rescue of the Aladja people and help protect and save their lives.
The Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka could not confirm the report as he promised to get back to our correspondent as at press time.
