Tension as police botch gunmen attack on Delta community

Mobile Policemen on duty at Aladja/Isaba boundaries, on Saturday engaged in exchange of gun fire with suspected Isaba
youths.
The armed youths, DAILY POST learnt, had planned to attack Aladja Community.
Sources hinted that a team of policemen, led by the Divisional Police Officer, in charge of Ovwian/Aladja Police
Divisional Headquarters, CSP Dike Albert Uchechi were equally attacked by the youths.
The police, however, succeeded in preventing them from gaining access into Aladja Community.
Although no life has been lost, residents of Aladja have started relocating for fear of a possible attack in the night.
With this development, the peace accord brokered between the Udu Chapter of Ighele-Urhobo and the Isaba people at the Government House Annex in Warri, by the Delta State Government has been breached.
