The Football Association has charged Manchester City and Chelsea, for failing to control their players during Saturday’s Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium.
Antonio Conte’s men won the top-of-the-table fixture 3-1.
Tempers boiled over in the final moments of the game, when City’s Sergio Aguero was sent off for an ugly tackle on David Luiz.
A brawl involving several players from both sides ensued and City midfielder, Fernandinho, also saw red for grappling with Cesc Fabregas.
Both clubs have until 6pm on December 8 to respond to the charge.
However, Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas, will not face any disciplinary action, after appearing to slap Fernandinho before the Brazilian was dismissed.
The FA has already confirmed Aguero will serve a four-game suspension.
