Ekiti APC Accuses Fayose Of Claiming Credit For Ex- Governor Fayemi’s Achievements

The Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressive
Congress, APC, has criticized Governor
Ayodele Fayose for declaring himself as agent
of change for the state.
In a statement by the party’s Publicity
Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, while reviewing
the governor’s achievements in the last two
years, he said, Fayose had succeeded in
reversing the state’s fortunes attained by his
predecessor in four years.
Olatunbosun accused Fayose of claiming credit
for former Governor Kayode Fayemi’s
achievements, saying partitioning of roads
built by his predecessor and erecting
electricity poles he bought in local
governments should not be projects that
he would be celebrating.
“It was regrettable that Fayose has been
using an alleged election fraud to sustain
himself in power,” he said.
“The recent revelation and confession of
Obanikoro that Fayose allegedly shared in the
loot of the national treasury was a cause of
concern to Ekiti people,” he added.
While reacting to the allegations, Mr Jackson
Adebayo, the Publicity Secretary of the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said Fayose
has succeeded in moving the state forward in
all areas of developments as against the
claims of the APC.
“The PDP-led government of Governor
Ayodele Fayose, has succeeded in reversing
the misfortunes placed on Ekiti and the
people by the immediate past government of
the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“The Fayose-led administration in the last two
years, has taken Ekiti to a place of pride in
the areas of education, infrastructure,
security, health and social amenities among
others,” he added.
