Mercy Aigbe replies hubby on mental illness allegation

NOLLYWOOD actress, Mercy Aigbe, has replied her husband, Lanre Gentry, over his allegations that she has psychiatric problems and is rude to her parents as mere bunkum.
Aigbe responded via Instagram on yesterday morning, dismissing Lanre’s claims as lies. “Dear Lanre Gentry,” she began. “It breaks my heart that I have to do this but as it is you who have left me with no choice……I had sleepless nights because I just couldn’t comprehend why someone I loved , someone with whom I have a child will be hell bent on destroying me, I just cannot comprehend it……..
“I read with tears in my eyes all the LIES you fabricated against me, LIES you feel will justify your inhumane act, LIES you feel will gain you public sympathy and LIES calculated to bring my person to public opprobrium……..
Gentry & Aigbe… when the going was good
“You claim …. (1) I am mentally unstable (2) That you have caught me with different men (3) That I do not take care of my parents (4) That a man rented an apartment for me………. LIES all LIES…….. “Dear hubby I challenge you to back on your claims with PROOF!!!!!!!!!………. Hmmmm, Lanre you forget quickly!…., you forget how I have laboured and stood by you all these years, even thought all what I was getting from you was constant beating, harrasment ,threat to my life and threat to destroy my image if I dare, leave you…… .,,You must PROVE all your allegations otherwise God knows I am going to add another lawsuit to the one on ground!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Although my team has been pleading with me to stay silent all this while, but I have come to realise that you want to ride on my keeping mum.” Mercy, who already got a restraining order from her husband, began divorce proceedings yesterday. But Lanre was not present at the Lagos court. On Wednesday, Lanre had claimed in a report that Mercy had mental problems. “Mercy has mental issues and I’m the one who knows how many places we’ve been to so she can remain stable,” he said. “I have papers to prove this.”
Lanre also swore that he had never beaten Mercy and it was Mercy and her friends that ganged up to beat him while still accusing her of infidelity. “See, I understand her antics too well,” he said. “All she wants is to be free to live the life of a single woman.
What I have tolerated from her all these years, no man can tolerate from any woman. “I worshipped her and I have deposited N8m at Benefit Motors to buy her a N16m Range Rover Evoque for her 40th birthday. I have also paid N1.2m for a hall opposite Sheraton Hotel to celebrate her big, but she has her eyes on other things.”

Buhari comes out in public for the first time in weeks

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday made his first public appearance in weeks, re-emerging amid mounting concerns about his health.
The 74-year-old, who spent nearly two months earlier this year receiving treatment in London for an undisclosed illness, was at Friday prayers at a mosque in the presidential villa in Abuja.
Video posted on Twitter by presidential aide Bashir Ahmad showed Buhari dressed in white, shaking hands with fellow worshippers and waving after the service.

The former military ruler has missed the last three weekly meetings of his cabinet, Friday prayers last week and his grandson's wedding at the weekend.
He had been due to meet his counterpart from neighbouring Niger, Mahamadou Issoufou, for talks on Friday but the meeting was cancelled, Buhari's office said in a statement on Thursday evening.
"The rescheduling is at the instance of President Issoufou who has another domestic engagement," presidency spokesman Femi Adesina said.
Aides have maintained Buhari is working from his private residence and resting after "a long period of treatment" in the British capital.
They have publicly rejected media reports that he is unable to eat or drink and is being fed intravenously.
Buhari's health is being watched closely as a previous president, Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, died in office in 2010 after receiving treatment abroad for a long-standing but undisclosed illness.

No Movement for Eagles in May FIFA Ranking

Super Eagles praying to have good run in both the AFCON 2019 and Russia 2018 World Cup preliminaries.
Duro Ikhazuagbe
Lack of activities since Super Eagles’ last friendly game with Senegal in London has resulted in Nigeria’s static rating at 40th spot in the latest FIFA Ranking for the month of May released on Thursday.
Eagles stay rooted to the same fifth spot they occupied in the continent last month behind Egypt, Senegal, Cameroun and Burkina Faso
While reacting to the ranking, Super Eagles Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye, told THISDAY that there was nothing to worry about as the ranking was a reflection of what happened in the month under review.
“I think it is nothing to worry about. In the month reviewed, nothing happened and there were no friendly games and no official games,” stressed Ibitoye.
The Super Eagles spokesman while admitting June is going to be a busy month for the senior national team, hinted that Nigeria is prepared for the challenges ahead. “We are ready for the challenges coming up next month. It is going to be very busy for us; we will be going to camp for training ahead of the qualifiers for the AFCON 2019 and the World Cup 2018 matches,” he said.
He justified Eagles’ ranking for last month that has been sustained in the current ranking for May. “Last month’s assessment by FIFA is justifiable because it has been a quiet month for the teams in international front,’’ Ibitoye noted.
Nigeria’s foes in next month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, South Africa, is placed at 64th in the world and 12th in the continent.
The same inactivity that led to no movement in Africa also affected the global rankings as there was no movement in the top 20 places.
Overall, Brazil sits at the apex of the world with 1672 points, while Argentina is second with reigning world champions Germany placed third.
The next Coca-Cola/FIFA ranking will be published on 1 June 2017.

The hottest Nigerian Music producer, Krizbeatz is taking his brand and career to a new level and from the look of things; he appears ready to keep his name on the lips of many music lovers in the industry for a long time.
Still basking in the euphoria of the success of Pana song, which he produced for Tekno last year, Krizbeatz who has become one of the continent’s biggest producers, has taken another major step towards confirming his leadership status with another yet-to-be released single.
The single, Erima, which featured two of Nigeria’s heavyweights in the industry- Tekno and Davido, is the main discussion in the entertainment circle, especially the music industry.
Apart from the audio of the song which is ready to be released, the visuals were shot in Lagos State last week by Cardoso Imagery and the expectations from the new project are already on the increase.
On the set of the new video, Davido and Tekno, who recently signed a mouth-watering deal with Sony Music, illustrated why they are currently rated as two of Africa’s finest.
The new video and audio of Erima, according to Krizbeatz, who is now rated as “King of New Wave” is a feel-good song that is off my “Producer EP” that will be released anytime soon.
