Alexis Sanchez reveals how he played football when he was in jail


Arsenal forward,​​ Alexis Sanchez​,​ has revealed that he used to visit his local jail in Chile in order to play football as a youngster.
The 28-year-old was born and raised in the Chilean city of Tocopilla​.

“I wanted to be a professional footballer from when I was small,” Sanchez told Arsenal Player.
“My mental approach was always to win and to go as far as possible playing football.
“I was always playing in tournaments and initially I played in goal.
“I was happy as long as I was playing football. I played with older people all the time – many of whom I really liked.
“[I played] in the street, but we also used to go to the local jail to play. We played with the people there on a dirt pitch, and I played in goal.”

Jumia agent Beheaded in Rivers after delivery to customers [PHOTO]


















Men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, in Rivers State have arrested three suspects alleged to have murdered a delivery agent working for popular online shopping mall, Jumia.
The Jumia agent was allegedly killed after delivering two iPhones to the suspects at the Ada-George area of Port Harcourt.
Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Zaki Ahmed, who led a team of Police officers to the scene, said the murder of the victim over iPhones was unfortunate.
A statement from the Spokesman of the Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni said the arrested suspects include two males and a female accomplice.
The suspects, Sodienye Mbatumukeke, Excel Naabe and Joy Eluwa were said to have dumped the corpse of the yet to be identified Jumia agent in a septic tank within the compound.
The Statement from the police reads,‎ “Operatives of SARS R/S, acting on credible Intelligence today 27/4/2017 at about 0300 hrs arrested three suspects, two males and a female, identified as Sodienye Mbatumukeke ‘m’ 28yrs Excel Divine Naabe ‘m’ 25yrs and Joy Eluwa ‘f’ The Suspects are alleged to have robbed and murdered a Courier who had gone to deliver two Phones and a Super Bike that were ordered Online by them.
“The Corpse of the Dead Courier was recovered from a Septic Tank at No.4 Adaede Street by Location,Off Ada George Rd PH, where they had hidden him after killing him.
“His body has been deposited in the Mortuary.
“Meanwhile the Suspects are helping the Police and efforts are on to arrest others fingered in the dastardly act.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Zaki M. Ahmed who led other Senior Police Officers to the scene is appealing to the public to always help the Police solve crimes by sharing useful Information with the Police, promising to flush out all criminal elements in the State.”

WONDER: Attention drawn as man gets married to two ladies the same day - Photos


The news of a certain man who married two wives in Delta State has flooded the social media, even though facts surrounding the marriage could not be independently verified.
But DAILY POST Delta State Correspondent confirmed that the marriage did actually take place.
The ceremony raised a lot of eyebrows after the wedding banner went viral online on Friday.
The unusual marriage which has been widely publicized, happened on Sunday in the Isoko South area of the state between the groom, simply identified as Emamuzo, and his two brides, Osioni and Janet.
Below are photo evidences that there was a traditional ceremony which validated the rare union, however, it still cannot be cnfirmed if the trio validated the wedding in any Nigerian marriage registry.

Man sentenced to prison for insulting His State Governor - See details


A man identified as Gambo Saeed has been sentenced to nine months imprisonment for insulting and defaming the Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari.
A Katsina Chief Magistrates’ Court sentenced Saeed for insulting and defaming the character of Masari on social media.
Saeed resides at Muduru village in Mani Local Government Area of the State.
The Police Prosecutor, Insp. Isa Liti, told the court that Saeed was arraigned following complaints received from Mansur Ali Mashi, Senior Special Assistant, SSA, to the Governor on Radio Monitoring.
The prosecutor added, “Mashi said the accused person abused Masari and called him names on social media.
“He said the accused person posted on the media that it was Gov. Masari who influenced the impeachment of Speaker of Katsina State House of Assembly, Aliyu Muduru.’’
He following the reports, police arrested the accused person and arraigned him for intentional insult, defamation of the governor’s character and inciting disturbance.
He added that charges were in accordance with sections 399, 392 and 114 of the Penal Code.
Liti further explained that the accused person confessed to have committed the offences.
Ruling on the matter on Monday in Katsina, Chief Magistrate Abdu Ladan, pointed out that the court has found the accused person guilty of the said offences; and that each charge attracts three years imprisonment.
Ladan then sentenced the accused to nine months imprisonment without option of fine.
