Woman looses her pregnancy after being beating by co-tenant.

The residents of Kasumu Ogunmakinde Street, in the Afolabi area of Akesan, Igando, a suburb of Lagos, were thrown in panic after a 27-year old woman, Mrs Sandra Edodo lost her pregnancy when she was beaten up by her co-tenant, Tobias Omombo over an alleged adulterous lifestyle of her husband.

According to a report by P.M.Express, the pregnant woman was battered by Omombo after she challenged him over an alleged secret arrangement by him to give his niece (Azuka) as a lover to her husband.

The fracas that ensued between Edodo and Omombo led to him hitting her in the belly and in the process affected her womb and she started bleeding. She was rushed to a hospital where the doctor confirmed that she has lost the pregnancy.

The matter was reported to the police following the incident who arrested Omombo over the incident.

It was learnt that Edodo’s husband was present when she was attacked and did not do anything.

Omombo who spoke to a correspondent, said the victim angered him when she accused him wrongly of arranging his nice to be sleeping with her husband, whereas the husband has stopped sleeping with his wife since she became pregnant.

He denied making such arrangement and did not know if Azuka have any kind of sexual relationship with her husband.

Omombo was brought before Ejigbo Magistrate’s court on Monday but the trial was stalled because his counsel said he was facing similar charged before the court.

Consequently, he was returned to the station where the police is expected to properly charge him for the alleged offence.

Shocking: Why Having S3#x with A Woman on Her “Period” is Very Important oman-on-her-period-is-very-important

If you thought that s3x during menstruation is off-limits, think again. Many of us are hesitant to try it, because we’re culturally conditioned to think it’s unclean.

From a purely medical standpoint, however, s3x during menstruation is completely normal. It even has a lot of benefits for both partners.

Here are some top facts…

S3x during menstruation isn’t harmful

There’s a pervasive myth out there that menstrual blood is dirty and full of impurities that might harm the penis. This is nonsense! But in most times its considered to be a very dirty act.

Menstrual blood is a mixture of blood and the discarded tissues that line the uterus each month in preparation for pregnancy. Coming in contact with this blood will not harm the penis in any way. In fact, menstruation blood serves as a great (and harmless) lubricant.

There is also a common misconception that the penis can hurt the uterus during s-ex while she’s having her period.

Although it’s true that a tiny opening corps up in the uterus to pass menstrual blood during her period, this hole is impossibly small for the penis to enter. S-ex during menstruation causes absolutely no harm to a woman’s uterus.

Menstruation may increase a woman’s s3x drive

Many women feel a higher s-ex drive during their menstrual cycle. There is a lot of conflicting and confusing information about why this happens. But one reason, according to Sara Gottfried, M.D., author of The Hormone Cure, is that a woman’s estrogen is at an all-time low at the beginning of her period. As her estrogen levels rise over the following week, her testosterone levels rise as well, helping her be turned on more easily.

Another factor may be the increased blood flow and lubrication in the genital region, a heaviness that could translate into arousal. The possibility of getting pregnant is also lower during this time, which might make women feel more S3xually liberal. Also, some women may become aroused by the thought of doing something S3xually forbidden or unconventional.
You can still get pregnant.

The chances of becoming pregnant during menstruation are extremely small, but it can still happen. Though generally it is a very safe time to have unprotected s-ex if you’re trying to avoid pregnancy, a man’s sperm has the ability to survive inside the woman’s body for a few days and there is a small chance that an early ovulation could cause pregnancy.

Govt yet to implement 18% pension contribution, says PenCom DG

Govt yet to implement 18% pension contribution, says PenCom DG
PenCom Director-General, Chinelo Anohu-Amazu
•N10b increase sought for accrued rights
The Federal Government is yet to implement the 18 per cent pension contributions as revised by the Pension Reform Act (PRA) 2014, National Pension Commission (PenCom) Director General (DG), Mrs. Chinelo Anohu-Amazu, has said.
She spoke while defending the Commission’s 2017 budget before the National Assembly Joint Committee on Appropriations.
According to her, N79.1 billion was needed for payment of pension increase for the 79,961 pensioners, who retired under the contributory pension scheme (CPS) from 2004 to 2014.
On the implementation of the new rate of pension contributions, she said under the defunct PRA 2004, the rate of pension contribution for Federal Government employees was a minimum of 15 per cent of monthly pay. This, she said, is shared into two – 7.5 per cent each to be paid by the employer and the employee.
These, she said had been reviewed upward by Section 4(1) of the PRA 2014, to a minimum of 10 per cent for the employer and minimum of eight per cent for the employee, thereby making it 18 per cent of an employee’s monthly emolument.
The DG appealed to the Joint Committee on Appropriations to ensure adequate appropriation under the Federal Government’s recurrent expenditure in order to facilitate the implementation of the new 18 per  cent pension contribution rate.
On the N79.1 billion required for payment of pension increase, she noted that it was constitutional that there should be periodic review of pensions.
Mrs Anohu-Amazu said: “I wish to note that under the provisions of Section 173(3) of the Constitution 1999 (as amended) employees of Federal Government treasury-funded ministry, department, agencies (MDAs) have the right to periodic pension review. Following the Federal Government’s approval and payment of 15 per cent upward review of pension to pensioners under the defunct Defined Benefit (DB) Scheme, retirees under the CPS are also agitating for the implementation of same in line with their rights under the 1999 Constitution.
“In compliance with Section 39(3) of the PRA 2014, the Commission engaged the firm of Alexander Forbes Consulting Actuaries Limited to determine the financial implication of the 15 per cent salary review in 2007 on the pension components of the defined benefits rights also referred to as accrued rights.
“Consequently, the sum of N79.1 billion was determined as pension increase for the 79,961 employees, who retired under the DB Scheme from 2004 to 2014. The computation for the pension increases of FGN employees who retired in 2015, 2016 and those that were scheduled to retire in 2017 would be forwarded for inclusion in subsequent appropriations after due actuarial valuation is concluded.”
