Nigerians should stop saying awful things about Buhari's health-Osibajo says

Osinbajo: no cause for alarm on Buhari’s health awful
Osinbajo
NLC condemns speculations on President’s health
Fears over the President’s health were dismissed yesterday.
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo told Nigerians: there is no cause for alarm.
President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the Senate for an extension of his 10-day vacation. He is in Britain where doctors have told him to wait for some tests. He was to return at the weekend.
Also yesterday, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) cautioned against negative remarks on the President’s health. To labour leader Ayuba Wabba, there is no need for any speculation on the President’s health.
The indefinite extension of the President’s vacation sparked a massive row in some quarters.
But Osinbajo said he had been in touch with the President. He also insisted that he was not under pressure to resign – as speculated in some unofficial quarters.
He spoke with State House correspondents after a meeting with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, at the Presidential Villa.
Osinbajo said: “The President is hale and hearty, I spoke to the President just this afternoon and we had a warm conversation. He was interested in knowing about the budget process and how far we had gone and the meeting today with the private sector and the economic recovery growth plan and I informed him about the protest march and feedback about what people are saying about the economy. He is in good shape.
“Just like he said in his letter to the National Assembly, he needs to go for a cycle of tests and once he sees the results and gets medical advice, we expect him very soon.
“I think that the health status of Mr President is an issue that only Mr President would discuss at the appropriate time. Again, he is running tests and all of that. Before you will be able to determine your health status you must be able to say this is my health status. I have to do the test my doctors have advised me to do and will wait for the outcome of the test and know my status.”
On whether he was under pressure to resign from office, Osinbajo said: “I am not under any pressure to resign. I was voted for by the people of this nation – myself and Mr President – and so the people of this nation have not asked us to resign.
”I am absolutely not under any pressure whatsoever. The truth is that there have been no pressure from any source asking me to resign.”
The NLC president, at a news conference in Abuja, said on the President’s vacation and the furore it caused: “We are human and people can fall ill. I think it is not an issue to be contested. Once it is about the issue of ill health, that consideration must be given because we can fall ill at any time and so, I think that should be respected.
“For me, If it is communicated properly, that is what is expected and people should be aware once that is done. There is nothing you can do about sickness. Our position is that if proper communication has been done, it should not be an issue that should degenerate into trying to raise fundamental issues about it.
“The important thing is for us to continue to pray that our President recovers quickly and returns to pilot the affairs of the country.”

How I became a prostitute – 19-year-old HIV positive girl

Favour-Sam
A 19-year old commercial sex worker, Samuel Favour, has recounted her ‘ugly’ experience as a prostitute in Lagos State.
The lady, who hails from Igbariola in Odu Local Government Area, LGA of Delta State says she is in a dilemma after giving up her lucrative sex work, with three months pregnancy and HIV positive status.
Favour said her journey into prostitution started when her parents could not fend for her and she was left with no option in a bid to cater for herself.
Speaking with The Sun, Favour said, “After finishing my secondary education in my hometown, I could not continue my education because of my poor background.
“In my family, I was like the breadwinner. I had to support my poor mother to provide for the family, so I joined my friends to do menial jobs to meet up with the family responsibilities.
“At a time, my family situation became so tough that I got tired of bearing the hardship in the village, so I relocated to Lagos to ‘hustle’ to survive and continue my education.
“I arrived Lagos in July 2016 and I was lucky to secure a job in a canteen at Orile where I worked for some months and made some money.
“I then travelled to Delta to see my family but, when I returned, my employer had already replaced me and did not make any provision for my accommodation. I became homeless and jobless and that was the beginning of my present predicament.
“I started wandering around looking for job and accommodation; this landed me in a hotel where I later joined other prostitutes in the business.
“A lady at Orile, Iganmu offered to accommodate me while I was prostituting. Then, I was there managing, looking for another job.
“But after sometime, I had accommodation problem, so I left and ended up in a hotel around the area,” she said.
According to her, she did not plan to be a prostitute. But due to frustration and hunger, those who accommodated her lured her into becoming one.
“I was doing the job and making little money, but I was not comfortable with it.
“I had an ugly experience being a prostitute. One day, I went to a hotel in Ajegunle for my usual ‘hustling’, and three men made love to me consecutively to the extent that I became unconscious and could not go home in the morning.
“They made love to me one after the other and paid me the sum of N3,000 each. I had pains all over me. I regretted being into prostitution because I saw hell.
“So, after that, out of the N9, 000 I made that night, I used the sum of N7, 000 to pay my weekly rent. Then, I spent the balance for my feeding.
“Along the line, I met a young man who later impregnated me and could not show up to bear the responsibility.
“My boyfriend in question, Lawrence, an Edo boy who works as a cleaner in a bank. I knew him shortly when I joined prostitution. When I went to where we used to meet at Ajegunle, Apapa Lagos to inform him, I was told that he had left the place. And, I cannot get him on phone any longer.
“With the pregnancy, which is now about three months old, I went back to the hotel, frustrated and refused to continue my business.
“One day, a Non Governmental Organisation, NGO operating in Lagos, DECSON Savechild Life Organisation, met me at the hotel, and in the course of an interview, I narrated my ordeal, telling them that I was tired and no longer interested in the business.
“I was in the hotel at Orile Iganmu Lagos when a man from the NGO saw me and wanted to know why I decided to be a prostitute at my age. Then, I explained to him what happened and he took me to a pastor for counselling, when we eventually got there, they did not allow me to see the pastor after the church service.
“While I am suffering, I do not want to go back to my village now because my mother cannot cater for my three months pregnancy.
“The NGO took me to the Ajeromi General Hospital for test and I found out I was HIV positive.
“I don’t want to go back to my former life,” Favour said, advising young women to desist from prostitution as it was the road to an end.

The General Overseer of Arch of Covenant Ministry, Pastor Ngozi Odika, is in trouble after he was ‘caught in the act’ for allegedly using his church as a ground for spiritual powers.
Luck ran out on him after his girlfriend (name withheld) who is said to be his accomplice, was caught on Friday with some fetish objects.
An eyewitness told The Authority that the lady was stopped by a group of vigilante on her way to running an errand for the pastor.
According to the report, she was searched and hairs believed to be that of a human, animal horns and other fetish objects were found on her.
A group of vigilante at Ububo -Alia, Awara in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of the state, where the church is located, was said to have descended on the lady.
They reportedly beat her to stupor before dragging her to the pastor at the church where he was already waiting for her.
His altar was later turned upside down and other revelations emerged.
In his altar, 5 human heads buried alongside some other skulls of animals, a basin of blood and fingernails were reportedly discovered.
Upon interrogation by the vigilantes, the pastor allegedly confessed to being a spiritual father to the militants and other members of his church who come to him for various powers.
But when DAILY POST contacted the State Police Public Relation Officer, PPRO, Andrew Enwerem as at the time of filing this report, he said the command was yet to be briefed on the incident.
“We have not been officially informed. If there is any report of such, we will get back to you,” the PPRO said.

See how 2face was forced by her mother to stop the nationwide protest

More revelations have emerged on the real reason music star, Innocent Ujah Idibia, otherwise known as 2face canceled his planned nationwide protest.
2baba shocked many of his fans when he took to his Instagram page to announced the cancellation of the much-talked about protest, citing security concerns.
However, findings by reporters revealed that his mother, Mrs. Rose Idibia was behind the cancellation of the protest.
The singer had announced few weeks ago that he would be leading other entertainers to a nationwide protest to draw the attention of the relevant authorities to the untold hardship the current administration has subjected the nation to.
Following the announcement, the federal government warned him to rather express his grievances via a national broadcast instead of organizing a protest at a time the security situation in the nation was unstable.
The Lagos State police command had also vowed to stop the protest, claiming that the singer never took permission from them.
An insider hinted this newspaper that 2face’s mum who doubles as Vice Principal at Cherryfield College, Jikwoyi Abuja warned his son to hands off the protest.
“His mum was behind the cancellation of the protest. She was angry because 2baba (Innocent) never asked for her opinion before he went on air to announce the protest. His mother summoned him and asked him to call it off because he has nothing to gain from it, rather he would buy enemies for himself,” a source said.
