Prophet Arrested For Allegedly Impregnating 15-Year-Old Church Member's Daughter In Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested the founder of El-Bethel Parish of Celestial Church of Christ, Itaaka Abeokuta, Dr. Michael Adeniran, for allegedly impregnating a 15-year-old girl, Punch reports.

It was gathered that the little girl in question is a Senior Secondary 2 pupil at Saje High School, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The Ogun state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the prophet was arrested on Saturday, following a complaint from the mother of the girl, is allegedly the suspect’s lover, and a member of the church.

Oyeyemi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police said, “Trouble started when the complainant noticed that her daughter is pregnant and mounted pressure on her to disclose who is responsible for the pregnancy.

“The mother, who could not believe what she heard, reported to the police, prompting the Divisional Police Officer, Adigbe division, Onatufeh Omoh, a Superintendent of Police, to detail detectives to effect the arrest of the randy shepherd.”

Explaining how the suspect lured the little girl before having s*x with her, the police said the prophet took the little girl into his car on the day she marked her birthday and forcefully disvirgined her, and had subsequently been having s*x with her.

Oyeyemi added that the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to Anti- Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.

“The CP also reiterated his earlier warning to parents to always be watchful of their children in order to prevent them from becoming victims in the hands of people with devilish intention,” Oyeyemi said.

He said the suspect would be charged to court as soon as the investigation was concluded.

Algerians can’t score against me, says Ezenwa

It’s my ball….goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa
seems to tell his challenger. He is among
three goalies invited to Super Eagles camp for
the World Cup qualifier against Algeria on
November 12 in Uyo.
Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ikechukwu
Ezenwa, says he is 100 percent ready for
the 2018 World Cup qualifying clash against
the Desert Foxes of Algeria.
“I’m ready to comfortably step into the
shoes of Carl Ikeme in the World Cup clash
against Algeria and I’m ready to prove my
worth if called upon or given the go ahead
by manager Gernot Rohr to man the post
against the North Africans,” Ezenwa told
supersport.com yesterday.
The Eagles will confront the North Africans
in the group’s matchday 2 clash on
November 12, at the Godswill Akpabio
International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom
State.
Ezenwa said that in the absence of first
choice goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, he has
acquired all it takes to provide 100 percent
cover for his side in the difficult clash.
“I have stepped up training immediately
after our heroic performance in Ndola
against the Zambians, preparing for the
Algerian clash.
“My personal trainer has done an excellent
work putting me through rigorous exercises
that will stand me out in the encounter.
“I strongly believe I will not fail the test or
disappoint once asked to be in between the
sticks.
“This is nothing personal as each of the
other goalkeepers, Daniel Akpeyi and Dele
Alampasu, will equally do an excellent job
too.
“Eagles will be good to go against the
Algerians given the quality of players
invited for the important clash.
“Algerians are certain to prove difficult
following the draw against the
Cameroonians but we know what we want
and will not compromise on the three
points at stake.

God Approved Covenant Varsity ’ s School Fees – Oyedepo

The Bishop of the Living Faith
Church Worldwide, Dr. David
Oyedepo, has appealed to those
criticising the school fees
charged by Covenant University
to desist to avoid incurring the
wrath of God.
Oyedepo, in a telecast to a pre-
Shiloh 2016 Convention
gathering of the church
monitored via satellite in Jos on
Saturday, said the critics were
acting in ignorance and risked
incurring the wrath of God. He
said one of such critic smitten
with a strange plague of
chronic mouth odour over the
act only received spiritual
pardon following his confession
and “my intervention before he
was restored to dignity”.
Oyedepo said the issue of school
fees paid by students of the
university was a godly agenda
to meet the demands of raising
godly children in an
environment conducive for
learning. He said such
criticisms were products of
ignorance as what students pay
could not be compared with
what obtained elsewhere that
lacked facilities.
“The school fees has Gods
approval and is in accordance
with the quality of facilities
provided by the university in
meeting the educational needs
of the nation,” he said.
He said the church in its
pioneering role in pushing the
frontiers of education with
excellence had concluded plans
to establish offshore
universities. The cleric said a
fully automated Bible press by
the church had been completed
and would be launched soon.
Oyedepo, however, quoting
from some verses of the Bible,
which include Matthew 24:6-8,
1Peter 2:9, Joel 2:2 and Mal. 4:1,
said the current economic
meltdown was predicted but
that committed Christians
would be exempted.
He prayed for resources for
parents to always meet the
demands of the time and
declared the theme of this
year’s Shiloh holding between
December 6 and 10 as “My Case
is Different”. The bishop said
this year’s annual event of
Shiloh would not be advertised
as past events as it would be
church based.
