A 35-year-old teacher, Chukwu Ndubuisi, was yesterday, arraigned before an Ogudu Magistrate’s Court, Ikeja magisterial district, Lagos, for allegedly raping a six-year-old pupil (names withheld) within the school (name withheld) premises.
Before the arraignment, Vanguard gathered that an official of Temitayo Ogan Child Safety and Support Foundation, TCOSS, who got wind of the act, reported the case to Lagos State Domestic and Sexual and Violence Response Team, DSVRT.
It was learned that the Fine Arts teacher, who committed the act after the school hours within the school premises in Omole Phase 11, was arrested by officers from Ketu Police Station.
The Investigating Police Officer, IPO, Betty Coker, told the court, during the arraignment, that results of medical test conducted on the victim confirmed attempted penetration.
The IPO disclosed that the suspect allegedly committed the offence which is punishable under Section 260 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
Magistrate S. Hamzat, who adjourned the case to November 3, granted the suspect N100,000 bail with two sureties to deposit N50,000 each.
The magistrate added that one of the sureties must be a blood relation and must be gainfully employed by a reputable and verified organisation and must be tax compliant.
DSVRT Coordinator, Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, disclosed to Vanguard that the State Directorate of Public Prosecution, DPP, has demanded for the duplicate case file, to aid quick delivery of judgment.

Shocking! How Governor Wike Killed 4 APC Members – APC Reveals

wike
Governor Nyesome Wike has been accused of killing 4 people, the allegation was leveled by the Rivers state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The APC in Rivers accused the governor of masterminding the recent killings of four members of the party.
Four APC members identified as Boris Neenwi, Manager Nkoba, Nornubari Loveday and Cecilia Loveday, were killed on Monday, October 3 in Gokana area of the state.
The Cable reports that the party’s state chairman, Davies Ikanya, said on of the deceased, Neewi was a staunch critic of Wike’s administration, asserting that Wike and his allies are responsible for the murders.
Ikanya said: “Monday, 3rd October, 2016 was another sad day for members of the Rivers state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a prominent member of the party, Hon. Boris Neenwi, was felled by the bullets of assassins in Nonwa Tai. Killed alongside Hon. Neenwi were Manager Nkoba(M), Nornubari Loveday(M) and Cecilia Loveday(F),” Ikanya said in a statement.
“Late Boris Neenwi, a strong ally of Senator Magnus Abe and staunch APC member, was a former Councillor who hailed from Yeghe community. He recently finished his law programme from the University of Maiduguri.
“Until his assassination, late Neenwi was a known critic of Gov. Nyesom Wike and Wike’s ex-militant leader and collaborator, Solomon Ndigbara, who also hails from Yeghe community.”
He recalled how another APC chieftain, Vincent Eebee, who was also loyal to Senator Abe, was murdered six months ago by PDP agents.
“APC unequivocally holds the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and his ally, ex-militant leader, Solomon Ndigbara responsible for the killing of Hon. Boris Neenwi and his companions in Nonwa Tai yesterday,” he said.
“We call on the security agencies in Rivers State and at the federal level to ensure that Solomon Ndigbara and all those who have a hand in the killing of Hon. Boris Neenwi and the young people who were gruesomely killed alongside him are apprehended and made to face justice.”
Ikanya added that the recent murders must be swept under the carpet as it has become a pattern in the state, especially when the victims are APC members.
